Welcome to the very first episode of the AAPI Studio Podcast! In todays meeting we are speaking with co-founder of teachAAPI Renee Yang, her son Dominic, and board member Calvin Cheng about the importance of the K-12 AAPI History Initiative, otherwise known as SB1363.&nbsp;
SB 1363 provides a suggested framework for classroom instruction on the contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in Social Science courses and lesson plans will be designed according to the maturity level of students.

The Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs Association - APAPA - is a nonpartisan nonprofit founded in 2001 with over 43 chapters across the country. Our APAPA Chapters are volunteer driven with new chapters expanding across the country every year. 

In AAPI Studio, the APAPA headquarters team will be meeting with members of the community to talk civic engagement, leadership, and education in the Asian American Pacific Islander and Native Hawaiian communities.
