Willona Sloan has published non-fiction, fiction, and poetry in publications such as AudioFemme, BlazeVOX, Bohemia, Fresh Cup, Paste, Publishers Weekly, The Rumpus, &nbsp;Washington Post and Words Apart. &nbsp;She teaches creative and professional writing workshops in the Washington, DC area at the Writer’s Center and the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery and has also led workshops in partnership with The Reykjavík UNESCO City of Literature and the Reykjavík International Literary Festival. Willona is an alum of the VONA and Hurston/Wright writing workshops.
