Hey there, it's me Emerald, and I'm back with another episode of "That's Tabu." In this installment, I continue my personal story of battling cancer. I'm going to talk about the moment I received a call from my doctor informing me that I had Stage IIB cervical cancer and the treatment plan that was yet to come.
I have to admit that going through this part of my story was difficult to share, so much so that I had to record it twice. However, I'm here, and I did it. I want to take a moment to thank everyone for their support on the first episode, and I'm excited to continue sharing my journey with you.
In this episode, I'm going to explain my emotions and headspace after receiving the news, as well as the many ups and downs (mostly downs) of my treatment. It was a challenging journey, but I'm hopeful that sharing my experience may help others going through a similar situation.
So, grab a cozy spot and get ready to get uncomfortable as we walk through my cancer treatment together. I hope that this episode will provide some insight into what it's like to go through cancer and help those who are experiencing the same challenges. Thanks for listening.
