The life of a young Black-British teenager had to be ripped away from him for the police and the world to see the deep-rooted racism that reigns in the Metropolitan Police Service. In the process, Stephen's parents, Doreen and Neville Lawrence, Stephen's best friend, Duwayne Brooks, as well as the black community had to suffer great grief and trauma. 

Despite the efforts made the Police have a long way to go to becoming unbiased as well as gaining the trust of Black people in the UK.
