No family history in this episode
Last episode we had Vikings and aviation - both have family history references but today nothing at all remotely connected to any family history
So our shelves of ambition games for todays episode are:
Under falling skies - keep loosing ! (EP12)
Tiny epic tactics - 3 hours - totally engaged the entire time - time flies - it must be a good game !
Underwater cities - oh my BEAUTIFUL
I spoke of ‘under falling skies’ in EP 12 / we ‘trying’ to do the campaigns but are just not making it…..those alien flying machines just keep coming - but at least we manage to save the citizens although the city is not saved - sadly…..we will keep trying. Under falling skies will keep calling us back - the sign of a good game, for us anyway
Underwater cities - so so beautiful, oh my goodness what a stunning game presence and the game play to is very engaging. It’s what Jamie calls - a multiplayer solitaire game ! There is interaction with the other player in that you could ‘get in their way’ and so on but overall you are focussed on your own player board in front of you and building your - underwater city and thinking about having enough kelp to feed the people as your cities develop and having labs and desalination plants and kelp far,s so on. Such an engaging game. Lots to think about - plotting, planning and enjoying playing.
And then we have Tiny Epic Tactics. These tiny epic games amaze me so much in how much is in one tiny box. It truly is impressive.
This particular one - tiny epic tactics is so so cute - the box cleverly becomes the game play area - or should I say boxes - because the boxes fit into one another and then when you unpack the box you flip them upside down which then gives the terrain for the game. In Tiny Epic tactics we are working together to collect gems and as we do we receive benefits but if we don’t - well we may just die.
The thing is, we played this game for 3 hours and we just managed to succeed in collecting all the gems in the last moment - shou - what intensity - so engaging. We thoroughly enjoyed this but certainly did not expect to be at the table for 3 hours !!!
