In this episode I connect with Reg Laviolette. Reg started his nursing career in a forensic psychiatric ward in Edmonton, Alberta. After years of experiencing trauma Reg began to exhibit symptoms consistent with PTSD. Reg attributes much of his success to acknowledging that he needed to get help and embraced the vulnerability that exists in that first step.
As a result Reg has been able to begin his healing journey and has gained much awareness into his own identity.&nbsp;
Reg is now focused in a new work setting as a nurse in the role of mental health therapist and offers support to the community.
He continues to dedicate much of his time to personal growth, physical exercise and all while competing in bodybuilding.

Discuss the impact of trauma on the body and mind. The main focus is to provide shared experience, tools and tips in the pursuit of Mental Health. This will help you navigate the complex world of trauma, recovery and to promote a better understanding of the impact(s) of trauma.

My goal is to share my experience as a retired Police Officer and how trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, impacted myself. I will also share what I have learned and the tools I use to navigate trauma recovery.

Guests will also share their experiences and success stories as they themselves recover from trauma.
