On Dec 6, the California Department Corrections & Rehabilitation (CDCR) announced the full closing of the California City Correctional Facility and the partial closing of Tehachapi's California Correctional Institute (CCI). We have a frank discussion about the closing and what it means to local families, businesses and to the City of Tehachapi. The impact following last years closure of another CCI facility has both short and long term economic impact to the region of East Kern County and specifically Tehachapi. We get into the information that has been shared with us, and detail the vague release of information by CDCR. Send us your show thoughts, ideas and comments to [email protected].
