
Today we got to interview a Spanaway Fitness legend, the one and only Sam Shethar.
Sam is a powerlifting monster, who is also a very experienced coach, he has about 50 clients that he programs/coaches who have all made tremendous progress.
You may know him from his very impressive lifts posted on our IG, or have probably seen his name on our Spanaway Fitness Record Board.
His tool box of knowledge is very extensive, he will always take time to help his athletes and or others inside/outside the gym.
We are so grateful for his time, and are in awe of his ability to explain his answers in clear details. Spencer and I learned so much, we are very sure you will be able to do the same.
He will be greatly missed when they moves, but will always be a founding member of Team Spanaway

Emma stopped by today to share some of her story, she is a music major who has a medical history that would stop most people in their tracks. She found lifting, and continues to train no matter the circumstances, confirming why she truly is an inspiration!
Emma has been a member of Spanaway Fitness for a couple years, she never gives up, and continues to make beautiful progress with her training.
We talked about fitness ideologies and why they are bullshit, but how they are ever changing and we are eager to see a continuing female surge in the lifting community.

We had the absolute privilege of interviewing Tacoma Barbell Member, Zach Tingle.
Zach is a long time body builder, who is competing in his very first powerlifting meet. He is a very hard working individual both inside and outside of the gym, very kind and always willing to help people out.
Zach shared a little bit about his background;

He is the Zach of all trades, very eager to learn and share knowledge.

Lucas is a long time member of Spanaway Fitness, and a valuable member of Team Spanaway. He has helped at several spotting and loading events, both at our facility and other gyms, he has helped us repair broken equipment, and even helped out with our flooring party at Tacoma Barbell Club a couple weeks ago.
We really appreciate the time he took for us to get to know him a little bit more, and share his experiences from the lifting world with us. We definitely hope to have him on again, and are very excited to see him crush his 2021 goals.
