In Episode 49 of Tatami Talk, we open up by talking about the first Judo  tournament held in Southern California since the pandemic started. How  big the tournament was, how it was run and how long it took. We are then  going to talk about how Japan has gotten rid of their elementary School  National tournament for Judo and has plans to replace it with something  else, to help protect young players from over training and cutting  weight. As well as severe pressure from parents and coaches'  expectations for achievement. We finish up talking about coaching or  training family and friends. How to train someone close to you. Where to  draw the line at. What do we expect from teaching them? With our own  experience teaching family and friends.
