In the wake of state-level abortion restrictions, a critical federal battleground has emerged over the distribution of chemical abortion drugs like mifepristone. While individual states have passed legislation to protect the unborn and regulate procedure standards, federal policies governing telehealth prescribing and mail-order delivery allow these drugs to bypass state lines entirely. Through out-of-state "shield laws" and unmonitored postal delivery, pregnant women can obtain high-risk medications without undergoing in-person medical evaluations, ultrasounds, or screening for dangerous complications such as ectopic pregnancies. Key legal battles—such as Louisiana v. FDA—are now testing whether state governments have the legal authority to enforce their own life-affirming laws against federal regulatory policies and out-of-state entities. With medication now accounting for the majority of abortions nationwide, the future of state-level protections depends heavily on how courts and federal regulators handle the mail-order loophole. Anne Schlafly, Chairman of Eagle Forum, is scheduled to join me to discuss the issue.

Following the events of January 6, 2021, the U.S. Department of Justice launched the largest prosecution effort in American history. However, fundamental questions surrounding prosecutorial overreach, statutory misuse, and judicial accountability continue to spark intense national debate. Central to this discussion is the application of 18 U.S.C. § 1512(c)(2)—an obstruction statute originally intended for corporate financial evidence tampering—which prosecutors weaponized to secure massive felony exposure against non-violent defendants before being heavily restricted by the U.S. Supreme Court. Scheduled to join me, John Strand, author of Patriot Plea: The J6 Journey of a Political Prisoner in the Divided States of America, offers a firsthand perspective on the system. After serving 366 days in federal prison and enduring extended solitary confinement, Strand outlines how aggressive sentencing pressure, solitary isolation, and systemic double standards within the District of Columbia court system were used to compel plea agreements. While executive pardons have provided relief to affected individuals, key structural questions remain unanswered regarding how these cases were handled, whether court officers can be held accountable for constitutional violations, and what reforms the Justice Department must enact to prevent future political prosecutions.

Five years after the fall of Kabul, the geopolitical and human aftershocks of America's withdrawal from Afghanistan continue to reverberate. Released by Palladium Pictures in collaboration with WSJ Opinion Docs, the documentary The Path to Zero takes viewers inside the final weeks of America's longest war. The film reconstructs the strategic decisions that led from the order for a total troop drawdown down "to zero" to the rapid collapse of the Afghan government, the withdrawal from Bagram Airfield, and the desperate, chaotic airlift at Hamid Karzai International Airport.
Through candid, eyewitness testimony from military commanders, on-the-ground diplomats, intelligence personnel, Afghan allies, and Marines stationed at the airport perimeter, the film exposes the raw realities of the evacuation. It examines critical moments like the deadly Abbey Gate suicide bombing, the mass evacuation of over 124,000 individuals, and the plight of thousands of loyal Afghan partners who were left behind due to shifting bureaucracy. Beyond policy failures, The Path to Zero confronts the deep "moral injury" borne by service members forced to navigate impossible choices, while questioning why senior leadership has largely avoided accountability for the tragic outcome. Michael Pack, the President and CEO of Palladium Pictures LLC, and producer and director of The Path to Zero, is scheduled to join me to talk about it.
