In 1996, Texas journalist Brian Bethel shared his experience of a terrifying nocturnal encounter with two very strange children. His accounts became an early viral phenomenon, and struck an eerie chord with readers around the world on the early internet. Hundreds would subsequently come forward to share their own similar encounters with the mysterious Black-Eyed Children.
