Ep 193 | Matthew 9-10; Mark 5; Luke 9, Come Follow Me 2023 (March 6-12)

– Jairus asks Jesus in faith to come and heal his dying daughter. On the way to help her, a woman touches Jesus’ garment and is healed from an issue of blood.

– Parallels between Eve and the woman with the issue of blood.

– Jairus hesitates on the way to the healing and is afraid to trouble the Master.

– Jesus sends forth the 12 apostles to preach the kingdom of God.

– How the Savior’s teachings to the apostles also apply to modern missionaries.

– Some standing here shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.

– Jesus speaks of his coming death and resurrection. His disciples don’t quite understand these teachings until after they are fulfilled. The knowledge of divine embodiment helps us further our understanding of the nature of God and the future abode of the Saints.

– Jesus travels through a Samaritan region where he meets opposition. Rather than being angry and offended, he simply went another way.

– Jesus pays a temple tax, even though he didn’t have to. In this instance, he didn’t want to offend those making the request.
