Tee & Ki discuss the history, evolution, and present-day celebration of Black History Month (BHM). Our conversation delves into the history of Black people and the need for BHM. It get's HOT in here as we discuss the nonviolence movement vs. the use of violence in the Civil Rights Movement (CRM) , Black power vs. White power, and our ideals regarding the necessity of BHM . This conversation is introduced by a quote from Ta-Nehisi Coates "Between the World and Me" which directs the turn of our conversation. Here, we shed light on how we navigate experiences as Black women living in this racist world.  We also discuss our frustrations of wearing "the mask" in professional settings and how BHM and the CRM has influenced our lives and perspectives.
