I started listening to talk Toome, when interview mark hunter, about the pass out of existence. I enjoy waking up every Thursday, to see who the new guest is. Josh’s interviews, always make you feel like you are sitting in the room with him. Chris joining the podcast, was a good move. I enjoy his honesty when it comes to bands & music. He doesn’t sugar coat his views. If you are a metal fan, this a must listen to podcast.

Josh Toomey is one of the coolest guys on the podcast scene. Very genuine dude who gives some great interviews with great hard rock and metal artists. His laid back and calm attitude makes this a very comforting show to listen to. Joshua knows his stuff & has a great mixture of current as well as classic artists on here. He has well thought out interviews and shows no bias towards any sub-genre in rock/metal. Having an insiders POV thanks to Primer-55, Joshua can share in many of his guests opinions while getting us an even better behind the scenes glimpse of their careers. Where else can you get a mix of interviews with Glen Benton of Deicide to Troy Lucketta from Tesla. Fantastic podcast, keep up the amazing job👍🏻

There’s a level of detail that only someone who’s been there can get. Call it the short hand or the calling card of someone who, “Gets it.” Toomey has that pedigree and he uses it to get details from his guests that other people cannot. He walks the line of being the interviewer, the musician, and a fan to get the most out of his guests. He's able to relate to a touring musicians schedule and tedium because he’s been there. His passion for the material is evident. Check this show out.

I really enjoy this podcast, Josh does a solid job connecting with his guests and I especially enjoy that he asks everyone to start at the beginning of their band’s proverbial life. Especially enjoyed the Spineshank interviews and wouldn’t mind seeing more of the second wave of nu metal folks (Ultraspank comes to mind).

Found this podcast 4 month ago or so, and then like couple weeks after you add Jon to the podcast. Love the 2 of you, your comments and questions in interviews. It’s like being with my friends talking and having fun. Super entertaining

Haven't been listening since the beginning to have any podcast cred, but have enjoyed the 100+ episodes Toomey has put out over the last handful of years just the same. Josh has done a great job of growing his podcast, not only in sound and execution, but in getting great guests. Wether they are from the nu metal era, modern metal bands or personalities, Josh always finds interestng questions to ask and keep the conversations fun, but informative. Adding Jon over the most recent eps has been a refreshing addition, and can help take the podcast to the level. Highly recommended.

The episode with Jarrod Montague was the first one I've listened to but my god I was entertained the whole time. It was fun to try to pick out the Hall of Famers with Josh and John. And Jarrod's backstory was truly fascinating, might even have to buy the book now!

Wow! I cannot day enough how much I have enjoyed listening to the Talk Toomey podcast. I was turned onto this show from listening to my favorite podcast, Discography Discussion. Toomey has great content, incredible interviews, and a wonderfully listenable voice! These episodes are well produced, well edited, and you can really feel the hard work that’s put into putting this show on. I’m really liking his new co-host as well, good choice! If you love metal of varying genres, this is definitely the podcast for you!

Over the past several months this has been one of those podcasts that I can count on for great weekly content. Toomey has a nice soothing voice that makes me feel right at home and his guests are just unbelieveable. The Jeff Walker of Carcass episode was especially awesome as I am a huge fan. I love that his interviews arent generic and he really pulls some great stuff out of his guests and gives us a neat look into the lives of his guests. 5 stars for being one of the only podcasts covering primarily the Nu Metal genre. Host could use more experience and could benefit from listening to himself back to spot vocal quirks and ticks such as constantly over pronouncing his T's and responding with "very cool" repeatedly when he can't think of what to say next to guests. Seems like a nice guy who cares about the music though. Over time he could become a solid interviewer.

I hit my 20s in the 2000s and to me was one of the best times for music. I fell in love with the new metal sound. I loved big bands like Korn, Linkin Park and SOAD. But love the bands u didnt hear on the radio and Ozzfest wouild bring them to Dallas every year. I loved hearing Stereomud, e Town Concrete, Unloco, Primer 55 and kittie. I found Talk Toomey podcast from a Facebook post. I loved that he had some of the best nu metals bands on his podcast. It was great hearing Fallon from Kittie and Erik from Stereomud. keeep up the great work

Indepth interviews with relevant hard rocker/metal gods with a host who has been on the front lines rocking shows himself. Good deep cuts and up and coming hard rock and metal songs thrown in the mix to turn the listener onto new songs. Recommended for heshers.

What an excellent podcast that goes by way too fast. It feels more like a conversation and the music played throughout the show is an excellent way to break it up. Old, new, and maybe some songs you forgot about can be heard here. Keep it up!
