In this study, we see the religious leaders continue to be irritated and confounded by the way Jesus reforms peoples view of God's Word! The Pharisees had put fences around God's law and exercised great power over the people by enforcing those laws and the Sabbath was one of their greatest tools. In today text, Jesus affirms the authority of God's Word over tradition. he explains the meaning of God's Word and demonstrates the mercy of God's Word. We also see the reaction of religious leaders to His ministry.
