We all live in the shadows.  What do I mean by this?  When I say shadow I'm using it as a metaphor for influence.  In other words, we're swimming in a sea of influence.  The past casts a shadow over us (influence).  In our present moment, events and people cast a shadow over us (influence).  Even the future can cast a shadow back toward us and influence us.
