Soft White Underbelly was a YouTube channel I had definitely heard of but I wasn't an avid follower. So I was surprised when I was approached for an interview. Meeting interviewer Mark Laita was an experience to say the least and I was grateful for the opportunity to speak my truth on a bigger platform. Although, looking back I'm glad I didn't accept a payment for my interview. Instead I asked Mark to give it to the next person who needed it because one, I was advised not to accept a payment and two, after my interview I was left with a bad taste in my mouth and at the end of the day I wouldn't have felt right accepting his dirty money.
