Published on 19 Oct 2022 / In News & PoliticsNew law to be voted on in Ohio to make Americans domestic terrorists to be detained indefinitely.Issue 1Proposed Constitutional AmendmentTO REQUIRE COURTS TO CONSIDER FACTORS LIKE PUBLIC SAFETY WHEN SETTINGTHE AMOUNT OF BAILProposed by Joint Resolution of the General AssemblyTo amend Section 9 of Article I of the Constitution of the State of OhioA majority yes vote is necessary for the amendment to pass.The proposed amendment would:• Require Ohio courts, when setting the amount of bail, to consider public safety, including theseriousness of the offense, as well as a person's criminal record, the likelihood a person will returnto court, and any other factor the Ohio General Assembly may prescribe.• Remove the requirement that the procedures for establishing the amount and conditions of bail bedetermined by the Supreme Court of Ohio.If passed, the amendment will be effective immediately.YES SHALL THE AMENDMENT BEAPPROVED?CERTIFICATIONActing in my capacity as the secretary of the Ohio Ballot Board, I hereby certify to the Secretaryof the State of Ohio that the foregoing text is the ballot language prescribed by the Ohio Ballot Board,acting pursuant to Article II, Section 1g of the Ohio Constitution and section 3505.062 of the RevisedCode of Ohio, for this constitutional amendment proposed by the General Assembly for submission tothe Ohio electorate at the election to be held on November 8, 2022.In testimony whereof, I have subscribed my name in Columbus, Ohio, this 22nd day of August,2022.
