What does being a politically aware artist in a city like Bhopal entail? Asmi in conversation with Kokila discuss the realities, inspirations, struggles and disappointments in dreaming and working towards a better world. While grappling with overarching issues like corporate crime, the climate crisis and a rapidly changing city, there is also an undercurrent of unwanted labelling of vocal individuals, struggles of working in spaces which aren't feminist enough - to problems of appropriation, capitalist aspirations and becoming an accidental activist.
