I have been a fan of Chris Connelly since his days in Minstry, Pigface, Revolting Cocks, you get the idea. He has spun off his Industrial into a non traditional folk sound. Over 25 albums since he left Ministry, there is plenty to take in

His current album "The Birthday Poems" is a purely Scottish experience from a tiny sliver to time in our history. With the vocal gift from the reclusive Scottish singer Monica Queen, the album is described as "This album is a fictionalized account of the romance between celebrated Scottish poet andauthor George Mackay Brown and his muse Stella Cartwright, as well as Stelle's friendship with Edinburgh born poet Stanley Roger Green, spanning three decades"

We talk about the Scottish poetry "scene" in the 1950s, and the social paradigm around a muse who contributed so much to the culture, who is only now given the exposure she deserves.
