Basmah Alshatti is a second-year graduate student at the University of Missouri studying Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences. The Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders recently highlighted her as a student leader for her best care practices and personal journey. She serves as a great example of student initiative and expertise within the autism community. In this episode, she discusses with us about her previous clinical experiences as an SLP in Kuwait, navigating the SLP field as a bilingual, and the lessons she has learned as graduate clinician working with individuals on the autism spectrum. We are honored to welcome Basmah to Spectrum Sundays and to help spread her message of inclusion for all. Thank you so much for visiting with us, Basmah!
