Musicians, I think we’ve all been here, and maybe felt sheepish about asking for something in order to perform well. The fact is that you need it, and should be confident to verbalize your needs. It doesn’t reflect badly on you as a musician, and it shouldn’t alter other musician’s perspective of how valuable what you bring to the table is. So I just want to drop this bit of encouragement, and let you know you’re not alone if you’ve ever felt obligated to basically play with one hand tied behind your back.
