In 2011, Spreckels Mansion in Coronado, California was home to two tragedies. Only two days after Max Shacknai suffered a fatal fall inside the house, Rebecca Zahau was found hanging from an outside balcony. While police declared Rebecca’s death a suicide, suspicious circumstances abound, and there are many who are adamant her death was not suicide, but murder.
