It's easy to look on a chart & plot where you'll transition to. It's hard to actually take leave & go sort out the new terrain. Just as we gain situational awareness about a new assignment or deployment, treat your transition location the same way. Spend as much time there as you possibly can. Don't just wait until you buy your home--keep going back to visit.
