This two part episode we got to sit down and speak with father, partner, business owner, rapper and survivor Scott G aka Gesus. He is very candid about his life and describing the moments that led to him being shot and almost killed and ironically how the “system” turned on him in an attempt to take another black father from his family. It’s one thing to hear about the plagued justice system but hearing it from someone you know makes it more insane.

This episode we discuss the lingering effects of Covid and how daunting this whole process has been. We also discuss Flores and the closeted racism displayed in the NFL. It is BHM!!!! The effects of systemic racism. We also touch on the sad and unjust story of Kendrick Johnson. Growing up and being conscious of what’s going on around you and realizing how so many people outside of your bubble is hurting is so humbling. We have to be better to one another because our community raises us.

This episode we discuss the effects of mass incarceration and it’s crippling affect on the mental state of women. Often times we suppress negativity or things that aren’t easy to deal with. This unfortunately results in not dealing with tragedies or uneasy topics that need to be fixed. We must allow ourselves grace but suppression will not evoke change.

On this episode we discuss the insensitivity of respecting one another from children to adults. We also discuss how our upbringing may indirectly and unknowingly shape how we deal with people and see life.
