In today's episode we will be talking about some critical events in the last year that have led to a false, "ideal" body image for women. This is a topic that is very close to my heart. I love social media. However, I deeply feel some where along the lines between highlight reels, and photo editing apps, the positive impact social media CAN have is getting lost in the sauce. The team here at Smart Alec is here to rant and rave about it and share what we've witnessed and how it's impacted us. 

Unfortunately women's body image being up for debate isn't a new topic of discussion. For decades the perception of how we should act, dress, and carry ourselves has been consistent. 

We will be bringing on a phenomenal woman to see how she and her mother challenged the norms of those societal expectations. My wonderful grandmother Rosita Artis will be joining us.
