Are you unsettled by the state of the country? Feeling hopeless and like there's nothing you can do outside of a social media post? Join Jaz as she explains to Andrew how the American Congressional System works its political magic and learn how easy it is for YOU to get involved in your community.
If you find yourself wanting to support protesters without attending (because let's be real, riots are scary) then here are some ways you can help.
Donate to the ACLU. The American Civil Liberties Union provides legal assistance to people who have been wrongfully detained and need council. They also fight for anyone who's civil rights have been impeded.
Contact your congressman! Not sure who that is or how to do that? Common Cause can help you Find Your Representative and gives you instructions on how to email them.
Not a fan of those razzafrazzed emails and prefer to have an old fashioned conversation? No? Well, here's the number for the US Capitol Switchboard. This number is a direct line to a government-run operator who will connect you to your congressman!
