Sit with me as we hear from George Brooks of Dallas, Texas. George works for METTA Association in Dallas where he advocates for the black community for mental health services, reducing recidivism, and fatherhood. In this episode we talk about what it was like in George's own addiction, what led him into recovery, and what he is doing now to stay clean. George and I speak about different cultural differences that we have faced. George speaks about what helped him get clean and the changes he had to make in his life in order to stay clean. George speaks about stigmas surrounding the black community and fathers within is community. He speaks passionately about the lack of mental health services for those incarcerated. George and I make a pretty cool connection, and I have made another friend. I am extremely humbled and honored to have George as a guest on this show and as a member of the Sitting with Sean Family. Enjoy!!!
