Sit with me as we hear from Carlos Diaz, a person in long term recovery. in this episode Carlos and I talk about what it was like in his active addiction and the feeling of loneliness he felt and the damage he had done to not only his self but to those around him. Carlos shares a story about the first time he said he needed help. Carlos talks about what led him into recovery and the program that he felt helped him out the most. He speaks about the impact of Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) on his life and his recovery. I share a little about my time in MRT. Carlos speaks about what he is doing now to stay sober and in his program. He talks about showing up and about staying connected to his program and to himself and the importance of both. We then speak a little about the Alaska Therapeutic Court Alumni and the impact it has had on the both of us.
