Florence Van Belleghem, MD, is an Anesthesia Resident in Belgium who has seen the good, bad and the ugly of global health work in her volunteer activities before and during medical school. As a result, she has developed respectful, mutually beneficial relationships with colleagues in low-income countries that she hopes to develop through a partner-led set of priorities with an eye on equity over the course of her career. Her vision, open mindedness and youthful wisdom have of these activities landed her in a leadership position within the  groundbreaking One.Surgery, an open-source global platform for surgical advocacy and equity insights. She is the Chief Editor of Voices of One Surgery.
