Wow. Where to begin this one. One thing I said when starting out this podcast is that I would always record live and do minimal post-production on them (usually just trimming!), but unfortunately the lack of time and energy this month has meant I've recorded this session in 4 parts and spliced them together in post production - Given the bumper nature of this episode, I'm sure you'll forgive me just this once! So 19 days late, here it is, some brilliant party music just before the party season starts proper.This set was inadvertently inspired by one of my good friends and fellow DJs, Silverhook, after he teased me about loving electroswing as a genre of music. And was like… How did I ever get to 40+ episodes into my podcast without actually covering one of my favourite genres?! Anyway to right that wrong, here is a bumper episode of my podcast featuring no less than 36 tracks in almost 2 hours of nonstop, 124bpm electroswing madness.What surprised me when researching this episode is the variety of sub-styles within the electroswing world, it’s not all just rehashed wartime music with a bass drum. In this mix, there are touches of pop remixes, dub-step, even a little techno at times. Oh, yes, and plenty and plenty of cheese.
