On June 12, 1987 President Ronald Reagan delivered this famous speech in West Berlin in front of the "Iron Curtain" separating Eastern and Western Europe in the Cold War. "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall" is one of the most famous lines in any presidential address, appearing about halfway through the remarks. The Berlin wall fell in 1989, after Reagan left office. The speech is filled with classic Reagan and with historic references that those who lived those years will remember and appreciate, and those who didn't should know about.
