And now for something completely different, we talk GIRLHOOD (BANDE DE FILLES), which recently screened as part of the French Film Festival. It’s a gritty, slice-of-life drama centred on a 16 year-old girl called Marieme, who lives in the tough outer suburbs of Paris.
