My consensus is that, had it not been for your socialization, you would have never thought of cutting away at and lifting your face… The same goes for putting stuff in your boobs and butt. Our earliest humans had a lot more important things to think about than whether or not their ass looked good while running from a panther.  

But today, particularly in first-world countries, we have the comfort and space to absorb data that seeps deep into the mind, on a constant basis! Every single day you are being sold to, manipulated, and informed; if you’re among the lucky few who care to seek out well-developed/critically expressed information.
