“What happens if we walk through the world and dare to care about things?”

A beautiful question from Ross Sullivan, Managing Director of the Institute for a Sustainable Future, a not-for-profit organization working to improve social and environmental ecological health in service of the collective transition towards more caring and positive futures.

On this podcast episode, we had a thought-provoking and well-rounded chat about psychedelics, and I was inspired to hear someone like Ross contemplating such important questions. Here’s a quick snapshot of what we covered:

• How psychedelics create experiences of connection

• The soul-search for rites of passage as a man in today’s world

• Psychedelics as a possible antidote to diseases of despair and loneliness

• Power imbalance in systems & individuals

• Potential of psychedelics to play a sacred role in social & environmental change

• Building psychedelic communities and the realms of social change

• Optimism around shifting stigmas, laws, and regulations

And some wonderfully thought-provoking questions to chew on, like:

• How can we go beyond biomedicalization and hold sacred medicines together as a community?

• How do we shift what we value to sacredness and reverence for life?

• How do we make human care economically valuable?

• How do we move at the speed of trust?

Please enjoy 🙏 and #shinefreely ✨
