Nothing is more fun than nerding out with people who are way smarter than you on topics you know very little about! ๐Ÿ˜Š

My kind friend & brilliant AI Scientist, Sean Grullon, took time to explain so many interesting things about AI, ChatGPT, Midjourney, and more. Here are a few things we covered:

  • How AI is currently being used in healthcare
  • ChatGPT and reason
  • What present moment awareness and authenticity has to do with AI
  • AI impacts on education
  • WTF a function approximator is
  • How AI neural networks function
  • Artificial general intelligence & consciousness
  • Transparency and trust in AI
  • AI Ethics and inspiring examples like Lex Fridman and Demis Hassabis
  • AI and innovation
  • GPT 3 & 4!
  • How AI image generators like Midjourney are similar and different to ChatGPT
  • The process of diffusion
  • The connection between the physical world and beauty ๐Ÿ˜

Sean is a passionate scientist who was always curious about how the world works. That child-like curiosity led Sean to a physics PhD in Wisconsin where he studied the connections between the very small (Particle Physics) and the very big (Astronomy). He contributed to an experiment at the South Pole called the IceCube Neutrino Observatory to help make those connections. His curiosity took him in a new direction - the exploding field of Artificial Intelligence - where he developed a passion not only for the new emerging ideas, but also in applying it to improve the practice of healthcare and patient quality of life. Sean is currently the Lead Artificial Intelligence Scientist at Proscia, a startup seeking to transform the practice of pathology and cancer diagnosis through a digital platform and AI-driven tools.
