How We Met

Welcome to Shifting Frequencies, a podcast experiment made by students at Kent State University. 
Volume 2 (2017): Obstacles
Volume 1 (2016): Lifestyle

Students were invited to produce a short podcast episode approximately 10-30 minutes in length, based on a theme. The themes are broad and provide students opportunity to create episodes closely tied to their areas of expertise and interests.

Everyone had 2.5 weeks to create the podcast episode before uploading finished materials online. None of the students have prior experience in podcasting. Our resulting series, Shifting Frequencies, shows the numerous ways an episode may take shape: interviews, sound collage, fiction, environmental noise, music, and so forth.

The students' voices and opinions are their own, and do not necessarily reflect the views of our institution.
