We’re talking about some of the things that have been going on in my world, and I get back to the series, “Laying Foundations”. Today in part 3, we are discussing, “Understanding who Satan is”. This concept, while seemingly gloomy and dark, is necessary and even advised biblically. In 2 Corinthians This means that we have to know our enemy and his nature. Why is this important? It teaches and equips us on how to pray, how to resist, and ultimately how to fight. If there is a time that we need to know how to do these 3 things, NOW is that time. In this series we have been focusing on the foundations that I believe are necessary for emotional and spiritual freedom and deliverance. As we dig deeper into each of these concepts, I realize that they will be important for our ongoing spiritual walk in general, not just for those seeking emotional deliverance. As a reminder, the 4 foundations that are covered in this series are: Understanding who God is, Understanding who we are; Understanding who Satan is, and Understanding our fight and who it is against. Satan is the exact and total opposite of everything God is. God is light, Satan is darkness. God is truth. Satan is the father of lies. God is peace, Satan is confusion and destruction. God gives abundantly, Satan comes to steal. God convicts and transforms. Satan is the accuser of the brethren. Satan is counterfeit (Rev.
