Mr Sherlock Holmes

Season 1 • Episode 1

The gaslit streets of Victorian London flicker with mystery, grime, and quiet menace. Dr. John H. Watson, wounded and weary from the brutality of Afghanistan, returns to England only to find himself disoriented, financially constrained, and drifting through the fog of civilian life. He walks with a limp, carries the shadow of battle in his eyes, and struggles to find footing in a city he no longer recognizes.

Enter Stamford, an old acquaintance from medical school, who offers an unexpected solution: a man in need of a roommate. But this is no ordinary man.

From the moment Watson is introduced to Sherlock Holmes at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital—where the eccentric figure is seen gleefully experimenting on cadavers—his curiosity is piqued. Holmes is brilliant, blunt, and bizarre. He knows Watson’s military history at a glance. He strikes corpses to measure postmortem bruising. He plays the violin at midnight. And yet… there’s a method to his madness.

Drawn into Holmes’s world of logic and deduction, Watson agrees to share a flat at 221B Baker Street, where chemical experiments and cryptic monographs share space with tobacco in Persian slippers and unanswered telegrams.

But beneath the daily oddities of this peculiar new life, something stirs—a sense that they are standing at the precipice of something much larger. A partnership is forming. A legacy is beginning.

Mr Sherlock Holmes isn’t just the beginning of an address. It’s the origin story of the most famous detective duo in literature. This immersive episode faithfully adapts the earliest moments of A Study in Scarlet—with rich sound design, period detail, and nuanced performances that bring Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s vision roaring to life.
