The Christian is the one who is in the Spirit. The Corinthians were under the impression that they were a spiritual elitist group and this was a source of boast for them. Paul states however, that they are like those who are not of the Spirit. This is an eye-opening and heart punching rebuke that is needed for the professing Christian, even today.
