At the tender age of 17, Richa was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Both a physically debilitating and frightening experience, it brought Richa to her lowest moment in life - when she thought of giving up. As she dealt with this new reality of struggling even with basic movements, she realized it took a far heavier mental toll on her and everyone around her. She spent two months in bed and visited a barrage of doctors, ayurvedic practitioners, and even voodoo babas.
