The Gospel of Mary Magdalene is a Gnostic  Gospel. In it, Mary Magdalene is featured as a prominent disciple and teacher of divine wisdom, in contrast to the canonical gospels in which she is mentioned only briefly at the end of Jesus’ ministry.
