Over the past 17 years, Laura Vaughan has, with the assistance of an able staff and supportive Board of Directors, created a place not only close to the hearts of residents of the Eastern Shore of Virginia but a distinctive tourist destination.  We will discuss the journey that has brought us to where the Barrier Islands Center is today.
