The intention and preparation Tim puts into this program shines through. His guests are experts in their fields, are excited to speak with him, and he guides the conversations skillfully.

Detailed, professional, fun and informative of a wide variety of topics. Listened to many episodes and only found one that I had a problem with (Marilyn Monroe - implying that her problems were mostly due to misogyny (and noting that women still don’t have a voice). Her problems were probably mostly due to her own mother being emotionally abusive to her.

Tim is one of those host that I just want to keep listening to! I chose to listen to the episodes that awakened my nostalgic inner child and I was pretty much hooked on each of the 4 episodes that I just listened to today! Great show! Definitely recommended!

This podcast is very well produced and Tim draws you in on topics you may not have even known you would be interested in hearing. Definitely start with a topic you would like, and I’m pretty sure you’ll start listening to some topics you are unfamiliar with. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I love how the host presents this podcast so much! Its a great idea and his execution is excellent! Great to listen to during the slow drive to and from work, and it's kid friendly so I don't have to hit pause when I pick my kids up from school! Very informative and entertaining!

It's abbreviated run time allows you to get the whole breadth of understanding and conversation in one sitting, and deepens your understanding of the topic effectively. It's like knowledgable and well communicated like Hardcore History but brief and to the point. What a great listen. Be sure to tune in!

Terrific show! The host Tim has a great personality and interviews his guests well. This show offers a variety of topics and, though I've only just started listening, I'm already starting to learn new things, like the unusual history of bacon and eggs and how they came to be a breakfast staple. Tim O’Brien is a really great host and I always learn so much when I listen to him.Tim is a great communicator and is able to tell a strong history of media and communications.As someone with a background in communications and journalism myself I find it whenever I listen to him I learned a lot about a field that has a depth and breadth more than most of us can remember.

This podcast typically runs the exact amount of time that my drive home from work lasts. I’m not sure how Tim knows how long my drive home from work will be, but that’s mad impressive. The content is insightful and always keeps me interested in the topic, rather than the boneheaded who is cutting me off in traffic. So in that way, Shaping Opinion is saving lives. Bravo.

What an insightful and entertaining podcast! I just finished listening to The Jetsons episode. Like the guest Tim interviewed, I was also born in 1974 and spent half my life without the Internet and smart technologies. Back then, The Jetsons was so ahead of its time - yet in the back of my mind, I thought to myself... one day. Sure enough, one day is here and then some. Tim has a very engaging and entertaining style and his guests are equally enjoyable. A myriad of issues are covered, so there's something for everyone. I just subscribed! Well done!

When it comes to podcasts I’m a bit picky. With (literally) hundreds of thousands to choose from if I subscribe to a show rest assured its a cut above the rest. Tim has managed to take seemingly random topics from history, politics, popular culture, science and health and weave them together through engaging guest interviews who are experts in their field. Tim’s questions betray extensive preparation for each interview and the listener walks away with an in-depth understanding of the topic. It’s podcasts like Tim’s that ensures a solid future for the media. I’d recommend anyone looking for a good interview based show to check this out. Thanks Tim!
