From the time of Christ, washing of the feet has been a literal and figurative element of service. Maggie takes us back to John 13, then forward to her own experiences - from being a summer camp (“nady”) counselor as a teenager, to observing and taking part in Alcoholics Anonymous as part of her coursework for her professional counseling license.

Service in church can be difficult. Whether you’ve served for a few months or a few decades, there will always be challenges and surprises with the changing times. Service in Practice will deal with contemporary issues we as servants may face, while holding fast to the timeless truths given to us through the teachings of Christ, and passed down through the traditions of the Church. On each episode, you’ll hear a guest share his or her experiences in service and thoughtful advice.
