My guest today is Tom Peasnell from The Keys in Preston. Tom is a chef by trade and in the last 8 years has been running several different types of hospitality venues. Tom and his partner have designed The Keys for themselves after achieving so much success and wisdom from opening and operating various locations. They absolutely love old bowling alleys with their atmosphere, architecture and nostalgia so they wanted to bring that experience to everyone with a one of a kind menu.
In this episode, we’re discussing Tom’s journey through setting up and running different venues and the lessons he learned along the way. He talks about finding gaps in the market to start new ventures and pivoting when Covid started. Finding amazing staff that were the right fit for The Keys was another challenge and he shares the biggest hiccups and delays during the building process.
Through Tom’s knowledge and experience setting up and operating so many projects, he was able to take a bigger risk in building, launching and running The Keys. You can hear his passion to create a truly unique bowling alley with incredible nostalgia that takes you right back to the 50s.
This episode is full of Tom’s useful nuggets of wisdom that you can reflect on in your own business. Click over to The Keys to marvel at what they have created today!
