My guest on the show today is Rochene Hawley, owner of not one, but three Melbourne based businesses in the fitness industry. It was my absolute pleasure to sit down with Rochene as we chatted about her triptic of successful businesses and her enthusiastic approach to life as a business owner, woman and mother.
Rochene is the owner of Barbell Babes Brigade, Women In Strength and Women Who Lift and her mission is to build strength with women, in and out of the gym. In this episode, Rochene talks about her journey into strength training, the evolution of her businesses and the stimulation of having multiple things on the go.
We talk about operating in flow and what that looks like for Rochene, that there’s no map to success and how the etymology for passion has helped Rochene stay focussed on the long game and sit with negative emotions.
Rochene and I also talk about what it’s like as a woman in a male dominated industry, the definition of success and the importance of being flexible to adapt as our lives and desires change. Rochene shares about her relationship with abundance and how things changed for her when she recognised that money was a vehicle.
This was quite the chat and we certainly cover a lot of bases in this one. It stood out to us both that no matter what industry you’re in, the underlying matters we face as business owners really are the same.
