Well presented
I was surprised when I saw your show only had a 4.4 rating. I am from the US and for those who rated you poorly because they took offense to how Trump is perceived; well I am sure you got it right. Anyway, politics aside, your research and content is good and it is presented well too. Thank you.

was a disgrace…i’ve loved this podcast for years…sadly…this is my last listen…and to anyone who thinks i’m being dramatic, I DO NOT CARE…

So nice to find you
Has there ever been a follow up to the age of Natalia Grace? How is she doing these days?
Reggie Ryniec
The Natalia Grace episode, didn't age well
It was interesting to relisten after season 2 of Max. A lot of us believed she was older.

Great podcast
I love this podcast. They tell the victims’ stories respectfully and that’s extremely important to me. But I also love listening to it because of the hosts’ voices. While both of their voices are nice, Bethan’s in particular is so lovely to listen to. Highly recommend.

Parent shaming
There is no need to shame parents for occasionally using babysitters when they go on holiday. I’d like to know how many children you each have? We don’t all have the luxury to leave our children at home with their grandparents so therefore rely on babysitters so we can at least have a date night. Parents are people too!

Stay away from politics
I like this podcast but stay away from politics that you don’t know (i.e. US politics) You guys get info from the main stream media so I understand that your perspectives of the world is limited. Too bad.

Too Political
Hello! Love your show but Trump was the greatest president because he was not part of the establishment. He worked for the people, but if you listen to the mainstream media you are not getting the true facts. He in no way is what they say and was working towards exposing the government corruption which is even worse now than ever. I have unfollowed many shows for political narratives being inserted into the program. I listen to get away from politics.

Seriously?
Do you get your info from CNN??? That is not the way most of America thinks, no matter your ignorance on the subject. Trump was nothing like a dictator and he did more for black people than any other president in modern history. Do your research. Don’t be idiots.

Super biased and political
It’s too bad that these two can’t stop with the politics and their very biased opinions. The actual true crime stories are not bad, but really are only half of the podcast - the other half is promoting a very very liberal agenda. To be clear, I actually usually vote democrat. This is just hard to listen to. Unsubscribe

GREAT solo job Bethan!
I’ve been listening all this since the beginning, and have never left a review before. At first, I almost gave up with some of the early episodes. But now, its my fav! this week Bethan sounded worried about solo show— I’m here to say – awesome job Bethan! But we LOVE Mark so much, too. Well done in every way, guys.

Even-Handed and Thoughtful
I found you, because I love Picture the Scene podcast, and they have mentioned you many times. I love the quiet, respectful tone of your podcast. I love that you don’t interrupt each other. I love that you actually think things through and occasionally change your mind after you’ve talked about it. You are doing an amazing podcast and you should be so proud of your work! Thank you for what you do. I know how much effort it takes. 💜💜💜

Who paints victims in this light?
Honestly only gave 2 stars to be more fair because I only listened to one episode. It was the most one sided and biased spin of this case. It completely painted the VICTIM in the wrong light. Almost as if it was made by the people who lost the lawsuit. Complete government level spin tactics. This is referring to the season 6 premiere Natalia Grace.

Good storytellers!
I like how direct and to the point they are and they tell the stories very well. And… for the record I think Amanda is guilty as sin!
podcastjunkie.LC
These two are adorable!
Is Bethan the Mary Poppins of crime podcasting? Absolutely! Great stories that are well written, along with adorable accents keep me anxious for the next episode. Is it to early to inquire about a tour?

Wha?!!??
This is a great podcast. I’m a Patreon supporter so you know how much I love it. But tonight when Mark said someone complained about Mark talking about old cases, my response was whaaaaaa? Why in the world shouldn’t a brief recap of an old case while using that as a compare and contrast! Great job, both of you and talk away about old cases!
Sr Julian
To much rambling
Stories are interesting but way to much chatter and back and forth banter taking about what they know. Constant reference and comparison to other crimes covered. Mark and Bethen talk just to talk making it difficult to concentrate on the story! They both are obviously self centered people.

All the ads!!!
Used to like listening to this but then there are commercials every 7 minutes and by the time you get engrossed in the story you get a commercial and it ruins everything. Too bad.
angiedmma
Irritatingly bad.
I thought this might be a great find and I honestly gave it a good try (at least 10 episodes) but the quality is incredibly poor. Basically it’s Wikipedia. Which can be okay for light listening if the hosts are enjoyable but they’re worse than the quality! Mark seems rude, ignorant and small minded. His verbal skills and vocab is very limited and make it very hard to listen to. Bethan just seems to say ‘oh my god’ and ‘I just don’t know’ all the time. More than a waste of time, it just annoyed me. They are also both very judgmental and don’t seem to share any relationship with their listeners. Rather than other True Crime duos who genuinely have an interest I think they are here for money!

Thank you from Cincy, OH
I much prefer British podcasts and y’all are awesome! I love your humor and banter, just wish the episodes were longer! My only complaint is that I’m American 🤣🤣 love you guys, thanks for what you do and I agree that trigger warnings shouldn’t be an expectation but I’m not a snowflake so that might not be a popular opinion. Just know there are some of us that agree with you guys! Sending love from Midwest US ❤️❤️❤️

Love these guy
This is a very well researched podcast. I like the banter between the hosts, and the cases are not cases that I have heard before. Love the storytelling. Great job Mark and Bethan!

dark and delightful
This true crime podcast gem covers a great variety of contemporary and international cases, all very evocative and intense. The cohosts are charming and casual, like listening to friends tell you a story, and episodes are thoughtfully and compassionately discussed with a perfect touch a light hearted banter.

Absolutely a favorite podcast
I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts and this is definitely one of my favorite. I look forward to it every week. Mark and Bethan do a great job of picking interesting cases. They also do a great job of writing the shows and being light with banter at appropriate times in the story. I would highly recommended it.

Immature
I turned this off immediately after one of the podcasters said that Kim Wall’s stories sounded “Boring”. Disgusting and immature.
Elizabeth Jane
Ugh!
Couple of youngish people with poor verbal skills. The woman talks baby talk and seems to be channeling a California Valley Girl. The guy just blurts out opinions based on, well... nothing-just a lot of chit chat. I’ll just go read the Wikipedia page. I gave this another go and it’s still awful. I cannot understand the appeal to so many, but agree wholeheartedly with the negative reviews. Must be an age thing. Or education. I hate all the so-called banter, wasted time, and the ADS. But the content is not there to make me subscribe.

You lost me with the patriotic ad
Didn’t even make it to the podcast. That ad.. wowza. Sorry hosts. I hope it doesn’t deter others.

Great podcast!!
Bethan, I’m glad you’re okay and still podcasting! I was concerned when Bob started doing Twisted Britain alone. I stopped listening for a while because I was sad. I’m glad to have found you again and I love this podcast as well. The chemistry and content are great. Bethan, my apologies for being such an idiot! Your podcast is still fabulous and you’re still not Nadine. Lara Jaeger

❤️🤍💙
Love from America!! I love you guys, whoever said your voices are annoying is a total asshat!! If I could have any other voice and accent in the world, I’d pick Bethan! One of the things I say when I recommend your show is always Bethan’s beautiful voice! Keep up the awesome work!!
gotebo1918
Extremely well done
From the research to the writing to the way they speak and banter, this has quickly become a fav podcast. I love the breadth of topics to include the Ukrainian orphan and Kim Jong Nam
Adeerable
Amazing host and interesting crimes!
I absolutely adore both hosts, they both seem like good people, easy going and they have great voices. I have loved every episode and am also a Patreon! Highly recommend for everyone but specifically if you are American and wanting something new and fresh that is true crime related!

The Maxwell’s
The Maxwell’s what? A plural does not take the possessive!
TildaJean
Wonderful
Mark & Bethan not only cover cases that are fascinating, but do so in such an empathetic way, from the perspective often of the victim. The human aspect heightened. And yet somehow they manage to inject humor too, with their adorable banter... perfect formula
Altea5910
Very likable hosts
The podcast is very appealing thanks to their gentle handling of the difficult themes

Awesome
Even though the subject matter is awful you guys always find a way to make me laugh while listening without ever being disrespectful to the families involved. You are definitely one of my favorite podcast to listen to. I’m a late comer so I started with most recent seasons and working my way back to the beginning 😁

Good find
Just started listening and they are a good find. The first 20 are hard to listen to as the sound quality is very rough. But starting at 21 - they really get it down.

Texas love!!
Binged this podcast! I listen to a lot of podcasts and this is my favorite.. such good chemistry. When I think of Mark talking about the cat in the dock giving testimony, I just have to laugh! Thanks Mark and Bethan

Best ever. I love Bethan and Mark’s banter
I am listening to this podcast at every opportunity. I have never heard the F bomb used so hilariously as these two manage to do. Their research is incredible, they are engaging, and you almost feel as if you know them.

New Friend’s?
Hello mates! I have been binging from the first episode! So thankful for the work you’ve done with delivering informative and interesting true crime cases. I definitely appreciate the changes you’ve made to the sound quality. You both are funny and I love the relationship that you have with each other and share with us. Keep it up 😉
Same old thing!
Love this podcast 🖤
Totally obsessed with this podcast! Mark and Bethan are amazing and their voices and rapport are wonderful! I binged every episode as fast as I could and can't wait for more!

I like it
I find it to be an engaging podcast, you can tell the hosts are close friends and play well off each other. These are new cases to me as a lot of them take place in the UK. I love the different perspective from across the pond. Also, very well researched and well detailed.

I can't tell you how much this episode broke my heart and revived many bitter childhood memories. It was my Dad. The person who guides us as daughters. He was very religious and his lack of a parent father made it really hard for him. He thought he was doing the right thing by using a belt regularly. Thank God, long after I left home, he finally got help and became the teddy bear Dad I deserved. You both did an amazing job from a male and female point of view. You rocked it and I'm glad you didn't leave any more details out as this episode was moving from beginning to end. ❤️

Binge worthy
Great true crime podcast!! So glad there are a library of episodes to binge on! Can do without the random swearing and discussion of binge drinking.

Love it
I recently because a subscriber to Patreon and when Mark said my name it sounded soooooo sophisticated! I’d probably pay to have him record my voicemail greeting! Keep up the great work guys.

Great new podcast from across the pond. Lovely accents!
I just found your podcast recently, and I am a huge fan of UK podcasts as I lived in the UK when I was in grad school. Re: the google exec — I think she knew he would die from an overdose. She also didn’t phone for any help and she had ZERO concern for him — also the ex, Dean, dying exactly the same way when he wasn’t a user is quite suspicious. She also used the classic partner-murderer’s line “I wasn’t in the room and she/he suddenly overdosed/shot himself/fell down the stairs etc” (she could have easily placed an anonymous 911 call instead of watching Forrest die on the floor, cleaning up for many minutes, and wiping her fingerprints (Alex wiped her fingerprints but forgot her lipstick on the wine glass and the cctv never occurred to her), which to me indicates consciousness of guilt. Also, Forrest’s family shouldn’t be able to dictate whether or not a possible murderer goes to trial. This is a creative and thoughtful new podcast from across the pond! The hosts have great chemistry, and they do a fantastic job of covering compelling cases. Great start and best wishes for the podcast to grow!!
