Who, How, or When this rule was made that after marriage a woman is expected (in some cases, areas & Cultures bound) to change her surname/Maiden name. Earlier, it was easier but with women becoming independent it is all the more a cumbersome process to get the name change on all the documents or get an affidavit done. Ironically, in the case of Divorce, one has to change and then unchange the name!!
