Melanie and Jason Schoendorfer of Babe's Meat and Counter join the show today to chat about the importance of going to a butcher for your meats rather than buying at supermarkets, how they develop their crave-worthy menu items, why they choose to source locally, and why we should all move to Canada.

Hi welcome to Seasonal, where we interview local chefs, farmers, and food editors to highlight local food and how it differs from season to season. I’m your host Maria Tripodis, and I’m a registered dietitian, founder of Rebel Nutrition, and a complete and total food nerd.

In this space, I hope to link together the local restaurant scene and farming landscape-- and highlight the chefs and farmers who live and breathe it all. Join me as I get to know some of Miami’s favorite chefs, farmers, farmer’s market vendors, and food critics and pick their brains about what fuels their fire.
